Working together for a stronger community.

About Us

Welcome to AIMCanada

Our national AIMCanada Board is working with the AIMCanada TNC Board of Directors to put in place Career Mentorship opportunities for students. Our focus is to increase, support and recognize Corporate/Business Mentorship Programs and Individual Mentors within the Thompson Nicola Region. AIMCanada has several volunteer positions currently available.

AIMCanada has a donated office and legal services, and we are currently seeking a sponsor accounting firm. Our student volunteers are Graduate Program participants or 2nd/3rd year Undergrads who bring both the skills and passion to apply themselves. Our team’s goal is to create more paid mentorship opportunities for themselves and future students.

For Students & Graduates

Mentorship, skill development and information programs are designed around each group’s needs: career identification or career development. Students get the chance to directly apply their skills and theory to gain work experience, network with our Marketing/Mentor Team, develop an individual Career/Job Search Plan, learn current job-search tools, and secure a personal written reference for job search and career development.

Mentorship creates a career-focused, life-changing opportunity for both the mentor and AIMCanada’s youth mentees. Members can log in to explore the full benefits of mentorship.

For Corporations & Businesses

About 20% of current corporations and businesses support their employees as individual mentors or run an organized corporate mentorship program. AIMCanada helps set up mentorship programs and connects them, where applicable, to local universities and training institutes. For individual employees, we provide registration, certification and screening.

Thank You for Your Vision and Commitment

Thank you to the volunteers, founding donors, corporations and businesses who have been so supportive of this Canadian initiative. Our youth and communities in the region benefit from your vision and generosity. Creating more choices in our economy for highly educated, skilled and ambitious youth through mentorship, and fostering entrepreneurship, benefits everyone.
