Finding A Way Forward
Finding A Way Forward is a collaborative, grassroots initiative started by AIMCanada Mentorship Society together with Mastermind Studios, bringing Kamloops neighbours together to talk honestly about the crises facing our city — homelessness, addiction and overdoses, crime and safety, mental health, healthcare, and the breakdown of healthy community dialogue.
Rather than adding to the noise, the project aims to facilitate people sharing knowledge, experience and perspective so the community can be better informed, and to build healthier dialogue where neighbours can learn from and support one another. That work is taking shape as an ongoing video and audio series, the Crisis Storm Podcast, alongside a longer-term documentary film series that will bring together what’s been learned.
The Crisis Storm Podcast
Episodes give voice to people directly affected by these crises, as well as the front-line workers and agencies managing them — aiming for a compassionate, fact-based understanding rather than the polarized “us vs. them” framing that often dominates the conversation.
